I really like the style here - the adobe homes, wood vigas and lots of other exposed wood inside of homes and buildings, tie floors, the chile ristras. I'm not as fond of the xeriscaped lawns that are just pure rocks (or mostly rocks) but it's better than super lush grass everywhere which is just a waste of water, particularly in the high desert.
The one thing I can't do is put Kokopelli statues everywhere.... they are so common here, I remember our first day in Albuquerque it was seriously like Kokopelli was following me. Seriously, lawn statues and people wearing Kokopelli shirts and Kokopelli cutouts in the house lights like the one in the picture or Kokopelli shaped glass inserts in doorways, and a woman at Home Depot with Kokopelli earrings... I just can't go there! I totally don't judge you if you are into Kokopelli but that's where I personally draw the line when it comes to Southwestern decor for my own house. Um... the more you know...

Rhubarb and brown sugar and Kokopelli ~
The clay Kokopelli piece is moistened and put in your container that holds brown sugar. It keepsyour brown sugar loose and not clumping up. This came from Arizona where Kokopelli pieces are popular.
